Tra parole e immagini. Intelligenza Artificiale generativa e Graphic Design

Intelligenza Artificiale generativa e Graphic Design
What will be the impact of Artificial Intelligence on art and the creative process? Today it’s possible to generate evocative and stylistically original digital images through the use of prompts, a semantic code with infinite combinations. However, this doesn’t imply that traditional tools will be abandoned: those who use pencils, inks, canvases, or cameras won’t automatically stop doing so, nor will they be forced to give them up. This was the challenge that we decided to tackle at the beginning of the year with the first-year Graphic Design course. The generation of images through various AI programs cannot be exempt from an initial design study and an artistic and design culture that belongs to those who approach the study and profession of Graphic Designer.
The presented project constitutes a concrete example of how an operational application can provide students with the use of knowledge and modern tools suitable for developing their creative abilities.
