Sono entrato a far parte di AICA (Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art), organizzazione non governativa affiliata UNESCO nata nel 1950 che riunisce personalità dell’arte provenienti da tutto il mondo (circa 5 mila art professionals di 95 nazioni). AICA è un’istituzione prestigiosa la cui finalità è sviluppare la cooperazione internazionale nei campi della creazione artistica, della diffusione e dello sviluppo della cultura.
Gli obiettivi di AICA sottolineano la sua portata globale, le sue ambizioni interculturali e il suo approccio interdisciplinare e transculturale. Come recita il sito web:
• to promote art criticism as a discipline and contribute to its methodology
• to protect the ethical and professional interests of its Members and co-operate in defending their rights
• to maintain an active international network for its Members, with the aid of available technologies and encouragement of face-to-face encounters
• to contribute to mutual understanding of visual arts and aesthetics in all cultures
• to stimulate professional relationship across political, geographical, ethnic, economic and religious boundaries
• to defend impartially freedom of expression and thought and oppose arbitrary censorship.
I membri di AICA vengono eletti da loro pari, per questo onore devo ringraziare Cristina Trivellin, Tesoriere di AICA Italia, per l’invito a presentare la mia candidatura, e Gabriele Romeo, che di AICA Italia è Presidente, che l’ha sostenuta.
I joined AICA (Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art), a UNESCO-affiliated non-governmental organization founded in 1950 that brings together art personalities from all over the world (about 5,000 art professionals from 95 countries). AICA is a prestigious institution whose purpose is to develop international cooperation in the fields of artistic creation, dissemination and development of culture.
AICA’s goals underline its global reach, its cross-cultural ambitions and its interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approach. As the website states:

The members of AICA are elected by their peers, for this honor I have to thank Cristina Trivellin, Treasurer of AICA Italy, for the invitation to present my candidacy, and Gabriele Romeo, who is President of AICA Italy, who supported her.
